Design Methodologies for VLSI Circuits by P. Jespers

Design Methodologies for VLSI Circuits by P. Jespers
Publisher: Springer; 1 edition (February 28, 1982) | ISBN: 9028627812 | Pages: 468 | DJVU | 4.09 MB

This book illustrates the fact that the rapidly increasing complexity of modern IC's requires an effort to interdisciplinary nature. A review of potential technologies for VLSI circuits is presented first with a survey of MOS transistor models. Structured design methodologies are presented further as a mean to design efficiently rather complex integrated circuits. Along these lines, the problem of interchange formats is dealt with in two chapters. Means to reach larger complexities such as CAD, tools for reliability improvements, and design for testability are considered also. Problems encountered in designing microprocessors and microcomputers are described in three chapters. Multiprocessor system are considered furtheron. The book ends with some views on VLSI analog circuitry.
